The Swisshaus architects thoroughly fulfilled these necessities in the planning and construction of the house. The walking-impaired father can easily access the upper floor with a lift. There are four large bedrooms and a bathroom on this floor. In addition to this, the parents’ bedroom has direct access to its own bathroom and a practical barrier-free wardrobe.
Barrier-free building for a high quality of life
Throughout the house there are no obstructing steps or thresholds, and the doors are wide enough to move comfortably from room to room. The ground floor is also mobility-friendly and has no partition walls or steps. Only the guest room, a toilet and a storeroom were designed as self-contained rooms. Light tiled?/wooden? floors and floor-to-ceiling windows in the living and dining area provide a wealth of natural light.
